Curated AI-Assisted Assessment Resources (Beta Version)

The Office of Academic Program Review and Assessment (APRA) has begun curating AI chat prompts (currently in beta testing) for UIC faculty and staff seeking additional asynchronous, on-demand support related to learning assessment tasks beyond our existing library of online video trainings and information located on our website. These AI chat prompts were designed and tested with UIC’s secure Microsoft 365 “Copilot Chat” (which does not require purchasing an individual license through the webstore. You can access Copilot chat by logging in with your NetID and password at m365.cloud.microsoft/chat.

These AI chat prompts are only available to members of the UIC community at this time. These materials are shared in separate word files organized by topic then task below. To use the prompt, open the word file, then copy and paste the text into the Copilot Chat window (modifying the highlighted text to reflect your program).

These AI chat prompts are offered as a tool to assist faculty and staff in generating, reviewing, and revising learning assessment items. They are in no way intended to replace knowledge and experience held by faculty and staff, including APRA staff . When using any AI platform, all AI-generated content still requires human interaction to review, revise, and finalize these materials to ensure they are relevant and appropriate. The use of these curated AI chat prompts and their AI-generated results should not be assumed to be 100% accurate or relevant on their own. Additionally, use of AI-generated items, even though they have been generated based on prompts curated by APRA, do not represent, reflect, or serve as a substitute for official feedback or approval from APRA.
