New Programs

Three years after gaining approval, a new program must submit a progress report to APRA describing its performance in meeting program objectives and detailing where improvements may be necessary. If a program is in good standing upon completion of the third year progress report, it will be added to the eight-year review cycle.

In the case of programs in which State licensure is required for employment in the field but which not yet have achieved accreditation, a program can be designated as in “good standing” if the institution is able to provide evidence that program graduates are eligible to take the appropriate licensure examination and pass rates are maintained. If there is no such evidence, the program will be designated as “flagged for review.”
